I am a compassionate, person-centered therapist who prioritizes creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and hold a Master of Science in Professional Counseling. I am currently pursuing additional licensure to best support my clients.
My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT). I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, and I incorporate developmentally appropriate and creative methods, such as art, play, and expressive techniques into the therapeutic process. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing how challenging life experiences can shape emotional responses, relationships, and one’s sense of safety. At the heart of my work is creating a trusting relationship where clients feel safe to be themselves and express their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs openly.
I view therapy as a collaborative, relational process that honors each client’s voice, autonomy, and lived experience, and I am committed to providing inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive care. I strive to create a space where individuals of all identities and backgrounds feel validated and supported, while recognizing the impact of systemic factors and the pressure to conform to societal expectations on mental health and the way we perceive the world. With care and intention, I support clients in processing challenges, developing coping strategies, and strengthening their relationship with themselves. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients authentically find greater fulfillment and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
